We file your building permits so you can start the job.
Permit filing for contractors in Bergen, Essex, Union, Passaic and Morris County. We prepare the UCC application, assemble the packet, submit it to the town, and chase it until it's issued. You sign your own technical sections. That's all you do.
- You send
- The job address and what you're doing
- You sign
- Your subcode sections. Once.
- We handle
- Forms, packet, submission, follow-up
- Corrections
- Ours to fix. No charge.
Not sure what the permit needs? Ask.
Describe the job the way you'd describe it to your crew. You'll get the subcode it falls under, the paperwork involved, and the things that usually get this type of application returned. Free, no email required.
A first read, not a filing. Every municipality runs its own construction office, and the only way to confirm what a specific town wants is to ask them — which is the part I do.
Permit read
Want this one filed? Send it over and I'll prepare the packet. First permit is free.

Unbillable hours
Time on hold with the construction office, hunting the right form, driving to the counter. None of it goes on the invoice.
Rejected applications
One missing prior approval or unsigned section and the packet comes back. Now the crew is scheduled and the permit isn't issued.
Every town is different
One town takes email, the next wants three paper sets, the third has a portal. Working across five towns means five sets of rules.
How it works
-
Send the job
Text or email the address, the scope, and the estimated cost. Thirty seconds from your truck. No portal to log into.
-
We build the packet
We complete the construction permit application and the technical sections for your trade, gather what the town requires, and send you the pages that need your signature and seal.
-
We submit and follow up
Filed the way that town wants it. If they return it, we handle the correction and resubmit at no charge. You hear from us when it's issued.

Questions contractors ask
Do I need a permit expediter license in New Jersey?
No. New Jersey has no state license for permit filing. Construction permits are administered at the municipal level, and the state construction permit application includes an agent section for an applicant filing on the owner's authorization. New York City is different — filing there requires registration with the Department of Buildings.
Are you acting as my contractor?
No. We prepare and submit paperwork. You remain the licensed or registered contractor of record, you sign and seal your own subcode technical sections, and the work is yours. We are an administrative agent, nothing more.
What does it cost?
$225 flat for a standard single-trade residential permit — roofing, HVAC, water heater, service upgrade, windows. $395 if it needs plan review, multiple subcodes, or prior approvals. No contract and no subscription. Corrections and resubmissions are free. Municipal fees are separate and paid to the town, never marked up. Full pricing.
What happens if the town rejects it?
If the correction is on us, we fix it and resubmit at no charge. If the town needs something only you or the homeowner can provide, we tell you exactly what it is and who has to produce it.
How fast can you file?
We typically have a packet ready for your signature within one business day. After that it's the town's timeline, not ours — but a complete packet filed the way that office prefers is the single biggest thing that shortens it.
My town isn't on your list.
Call anyway. Adding a municipality means learning its process, which we do when a contractor brings us regular work there.
Send us your next permit
First one is free. Send the job, we'll file it, and you can decide afterward whether it was worth paying for.
